Another disappointing match for Real Madrid against the Catalans of Girona FC. You wouldn't believe that Girona is currently in the relegation part of the table: the team showed intensity, good tactics and great character. And the Moroccan youngster Azzedine Ounahi is really a gem.

On the other hand, one more time Real Madrid didn't play the best football we all expect from them. Mbappé did score again, but just a penalty. The team still lacks some precision and concreteness.

Matchday 14: Focus on Aurélien Tchouaméni

Aurélien Tchouaméni has always been like a jolly for Real Madrid. He can cover different positions, from the centre to the left, and his physicality and toughness make him a very important player.

In the match against Girona he pressed, he recovered balls in the midfield, he dropped back to create overload in the backline, he helped circulate the ball and much more. His contribution to the game was valuable as always. However, he showed some defensive weakness in a very risky back pass for Courtois. He definitely played better as midfielder (his favourite role): he attacked space and also run to the box, ready for a header on corner kicks.

Tchouaméni was subbed off at minute 72. He played a good match, with good both defensive and offensive attitude.
